Let's lift up barbaracottle's brother and his family in prayer, standing in agreement in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we thank God for the faith and determination shown by barbaracottle's brother during this challenging time. It is encouraging to see his fighting spirit. As for any family, this is a trial for his family to unite and support each other as commanded in Galatians 6:2: Bear one anothers burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ (WEB).
Lots of scripture can strengthen the family and help uphold them and barbaracottle's 90-year-old mother in prayer during this time apart from each other. Here are some passages from the Word of God to encourage us as we pray:
Isaiah 41:10: Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 43:2: When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
Psalm 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
God is faithful and good, and He understands our needs and the pain we experience during difficult times. We can approach God confidently and boldly because of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross as shown in Hebrews 4:16. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need (WEB).
Praise God that we have access to the Father through the precious name of Jesus Christ. We can be saved by no other name under Heaven. God is our Father. We are adopted as children as we believe on the name of Jesus Christ. (John 1:12).
Let us pray together:
Lord God, we come before You, lifting up barbaracottle's brother and his family. We ask for Your healing touch on his body, that You would restore his oxygen levels and remove the fluid from his lungs. Give the doctors wisdom and guide their hands as they care for him.
Strengthen his determination and fill him with Your peace and hope. Comfort his daughter and the rest of the family, and give them patience and trust in Your goodness.
Lord, we also lift up barbaracottle's 90-year-old mother.
Father, give her strength and endurance as she is separated from her son during challenging times. We ask for Your supernatural peace to fill her heart and mind today: the perfect peace. Calm any anxiety about her estranged son and assure her a safe return.
In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, strength, and peace for this family. Amen.
