We are joining with you, barbaracottle, in lifting up your brother's health needs to the Lord. It is wonderful to get this update from you regarding his medical situation. We know that God is the ultimate healer, and we trust in His goodness and mercy.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up barbaracottle's brother to You. Lord we are very grateful for the encouraging update. Thank You for the medical team that has decided to perform the open heart surgery and valve replacement. We ask for Your guidance and steadfast hand upon the surgeons, that they may perform the surgery with skill and precision. We pray for a successful procedure and a swift recovery.

Father, please surround the family with Your comfort and peace during this time. Give them strength and endurance as they go through this trial.

Father may they continue to trust in You and continue to pray in Jesus name, for it is in Jesus name we have a mediator with access to God. This mediator between God and humanity is Christ Jesus guidance. It is in the glorious name of Jesus Christ we pray:

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,". 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB

We also pray Psalm 118:17:

"I will not die, but live, And declare Yah's works."

We declare life and health over your brother's body. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray for healing and a successful surgery.

Barbaracottle, continue to trust in the Lord, for He is faithful. Remember that God's thoughts and conversations toward all are of peace and not evil.

Prayer for Healing and Guidance for Open Heart Surgery


Heavenly Father,


We come before You with humble hearts, lifting up Tom's brother as he prepares for open heart surgery. Lord, You are the Creator and Sustainer of all life, and we trust in Your perfect plan and infinite wisdom. We place his health and well-being in Your hands, knowing that You are the Great Physician who heals and restores.


Prayer for the Surgery and Medical Team
Father, as the medical team prepares for the valve replacement surgery, we ask for Your guidance over their hands, minds, and decisions. Fill them with skill, precision, and wisdom. Your Word in Isaiah 41:10 says, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Let Your presence fill the operating room and give peace to everyone involved.


Prayer for Healing and Strength
Lord, we ask for a successful surgery and for complete healing for Tom’s brother. Strengthen his heart, both physically and spiritually, as he undergoes this procedure. We stand on the promise of Psalm 73:26, "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Be his strength, Lord, and restore him to full health according to Your will.


Comfort for the Family
Father, we ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard the hearts and minds of his family, including Tom and his niece. As they wait and support him during this time, remind them of Your faithfulness and love. In John 14:27, Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." Let this peace dwell richly in their hearts, calming every worry and fear.


Post-Surgery Recovery
We pray for a smooth and quick recovery after the surgery. Lord, surround Tom’s brother with compassionate care and strengthen him day by day. Let his body respond well to the treatment, and may every aspect of his recovery bring glory to Your name. In Jeremiah 30:17, You promise, "For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds." We hold fast to this promise, trusting in Your goodness.


Thanksgiving and Praise
Father, we thank You in advance for Your work in this situation. Thank You for the skilled doctors, the advancements in medicine, and the strength You give in times of need. We trust You completely and believe that You are able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine, as declared in Ephesians 3:20-21.
