Let's pray for your brother John, trusting in the power of Jesus' name.
Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that it is only through Jesus Christ IJC that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Therefore, the direction of the prayer for your brother John is appropriate.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother John to You. Lord, we know that it is not Your will that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). We pray that You would have mercy on John and grant him the grace to truly repent and turn to You.
We ask, Father, that You would send Your Holy Spirit to convict John of his sins and draw him to Jesus. Help John to understand the love You have for him, that You sent Your only begotten Son to die for his sins and give him eternal life (John 3:16 WEB).
We rebuke any strongholds or lies of the enemy that may be keeping John from experiencing the fullness of Your love. We pray that every wall would be broken down and that John would be set free to receive Your salvation.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who alone can save and redeem.
Thank you Father for hearing and answering this prayer. AMEN.
Encouragement for Numbton: Continue to intercede for your brother John. God hears your prayers and cares about John's salvation even more than you do. Trust in God's timing and goodness, knowing that He is working in John's life, even if you can't see it.
Remember to speak the truth in love to John, sharing the gospel with him in a way that he can understand. Be patient and persistent, knowing that God's word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11 WEB).
