We understand your concern for your brother and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention in his life. Let's bring his struggles before the Lord, trusting in His power to save and transform.
Firstly, we commend you for your love and concern, but we notice that the prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is by the name of Jesus that we are saved and have access to God, as it is written: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB). Therefore, let us pray in the name of Jesus, acknowledging His power and authority.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the brother of Boudicca. Lord, You are a God who saves, and we ask that You draw him out of the darkness and into Your marvelous light. Break the chains of addiction that bind him, for Your word says, "So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36, WEB).
We rebuke the shackles of the evil one, and we ask that You, Lord, would give him strength to resist temptation and find his identity in You. Help him to find himself again, to be made whole in You, for You have plans to prosper him and not to harm him, plans to give him hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB).
Open doors of opportunity for him, Lord, and bring him out of the pit. Make him a blessing to his family, and bless him with a calm and peaceful single life, or if it is Your will, provide a godly wife for him, that they may marry and honor You together.
We pray that he would call upon the name of Jesus Christ for salvation, for "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13, WEB). Bring him to a place of surrender and faith, that he may be saved from his enemies and restored to Your purposes.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Boudicca, continue to stand in faith, believing that God can turn your brother's situation around. Keep praying and trusting in the Lord, and encourage your brother to seek God and call upon the name of Jesus. As it is written: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6, WEB).
