Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother-in-law Jamil Tariq to you. We acknowledge that he has been struggling with intoxication for the past 10 years and is in need of restoration in his life. We pray, Lord, that you would intervene in his situation and bring about a miraculous transformation.

Lord Jesus, we know that you are able to save and deliver those who are lost and far away from you. Your Word says in Matthew 19:26, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." We believe in your power to break the chains of addiction and to bring Jamil back to a life of sobriety and closeness with you.

We ask, Lord, that you would touch Jamil's heart and open his eyes to see the destructive path he is on. Give him a deep desire to turn to you and seek your forgiveness and guidance. Surround him with people who will speak truth into his life and lead him towards the path of righteousness.

Father, we also pray for the nation of Pakistan, where Jamil resides. We ask for a spiritual awakening in that land, that many hearts would be turned towards you and that your love and grace would be made known to all. May your light shine brightly in the midst of darkness.

We commit Jamil into your loving hands, knowing that you are a God of restoration and redemption. We trust in your unfailing love and mercy, believing that you will work in his life according to your perfect will. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
