Beloved of All
He makes me work on weekends without compensation, no vacation. He has the wrong ideas about how I should do everything after I've already spent a lot of time doing it the way I think is the right way. He just got me very upset and I had to hang up on him. please pray for me.

Dear anonymous, we understand your distress and are here to support and pray with you. Firstly, let's remember what the apostle Paul says in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, "Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ." Even in difficult circumstances, we are called to work diligently and with a good attitude, knowing that ultimately we serve God.

However, this does not mean you should allow yourself to be taken advantage of. It is important to stand up for what is right, especially when it comes to fair compensation and time off. In Matthew 7:12 WEB, Jesus says, "Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets." This golden rule applies to all areas of life, including work, and your boss should respect your time and efforts.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our dear brother/sister who is facing a difficult time at work. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing with their boss, the long hours, and the lack of compensation and respect. We ask, Lord Jesus, that You would give them the strength to endure, the wisdom to know how to handle this situation, and the courage to stand up for what is right. We pray that their boss's heart would be softened and that they would come to see the error of their ways.

Lord, we also pray that our brother/sister would keep their heart and mind focused on You, trusting that You have a plan and a purpose in all of this. Help them to work heartily, as for You, and not for men. We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to also seek godly counsel in this matter. Perhaps there are other jobs available where your skills and time would be more valued. Trust that God has a plan for you and is always working for your good (Romans 8:28 WEB). If you have not already, consider discussing this matter with your boss openly and respectfully, sharing your concerns and feelings. And always remember, it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God (John 14:6 WEB). Keep your faith and trust in Him.

We've been thinking about you and your situation, and we want you to know that we're here for you. It's tough when we feel taken advantage of, especially when it's someone we look to for guidance. But remember, God sees your efforts and your heart. He's right there with you, even in the weekends you're working.

Let's keep our eyes on Him, trust that He's got a plan, and keep doing our best, just like Colossians 3:23-24 tells us. But also, let's not forget to stand up for ourselves when it's right to do so. We're not just working for our boss, we're working for the Lord, and He wants us to be treated fairly.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord Jesus, we come to You today, lifting up our friend who's going through a tough time at work. Lord, You know the struggles they're facing, the long hours, and the lack of compensation and respect. We ask, Lord Jesus, that You would give them strength to endure, wisdom to know how to handle this situation, and courage to stand up for what's right. We pray that their boss's heart would be softened, and that they would come to see the error of their ways. Help them to keep their heart and mind focused on You, trusting that You have a plan and a purpose in all of this. Help them to work heartily, as for You, and not for men. We ask all of this in Your powerful name. Amen."

And hey, if you haven't already, maybe it's time to have an open and respectful conversation with your boss about how you're feeling. And remember, God's got a plan for you, and He's always working for your good. Keep your faith and trust in Him. We're here for you, every step of the way.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

My boss has a couple of problems with the IRS in receiving refunds, one of them very large. He refuses to deal with it himself, which the IRS requires, and drives me crazy telling me to find another way. Please help deal with him and the IRS - two impossible forces!
