We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing, but we must remind you that our struggles are not from God for He is always with us wanting only the best for us. It is God's will for us to prosper and that only happens when we are in His will. We are reminded in Romans 8:28 from the WEB And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
First, we must address that the blame for our struggles cannot be placed on others, but rather we must be willing to take responsibility for our own actions and mistakes. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 19:3 WEB The foolishness of man subverts his way; His heart rages against Yahweh.
Next, we must discuss the issue of blessings. Blessings are from God alone, and he bestows them on whom He chooses based on how he wants to impact the world through us. They cannot be taken by someone else unless or we allow them to be removed. We must be aware that sometimes our actions or lack of actions are what is really causing us to be missing out on receiving blessings from God. We must also be willing to receive blessings in whatever form God chooses to give them to us.
We must also address the idea of God punishing us. God is a merciful God whose very nature is love. God gave his only begotten Son so whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. He does not want to punish us, but rather draw us closer to Him. If you are feeling punished, it is not God doing this, but rather the consequences of past mistakes or possibly even the works of the enemy. Remember the warning from the apostle Peter, Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8 WEB
Instead of focusing on the negative, let's turn our hearts towards God and seek His will for our lives. Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you lifting up our brother who is hurting and in need of your divine intervention.
We pray, Father, that you will reveal any areas in his life that are not aligned with your will and give him the strength and courage to make the necessary changes. We rebuke any spirit of blame or self-pity that may be hindering his walk with you.
We ask, Father, that you will bless him with wisdom and discernment in his business endeavors, that he may be a good steward of the resources you have entrusted to him and make sure that he remembers to be about your business. We pray also for guidance and leading to show him the best ways to invest, spend and save for your glory. We pray for his healing Father God knowing only you can make him whole again.
We pray that you will surround him with your love and protection Jesus, and that he will come to know you and never forget that it is only through you that we are saved and have access to God. Lord, we ask that you will guide him in the path of righteousness and bless him in every area of his life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
