Hello wonderful children of God! Glory be to the Most High!
My younger brother Blake (23) needs prayer for his mind, heart, body, and soul. He recently got diagnosed with ASD as an adult and has emotional outbursts. Our father also passed away on 11/4/21 it's been 1 year and 5 months, and although it's still really hard for all of us, especially my brother and half brother and half sister and I, I've only seen Blake cry about it 1 or 2 times, I think he has an emotional blockage so I believe a prayer for his mind and emotions to break free from addiction and for his faith to grow would best help right now. And for his safe return home from a mental rehab center in Mexico.
For some background info on what's been going on: we are from Southern California. In late January my brother in a fit of rage over a petty argument attacked me, he kept kicking me in the face even though I was sitting down in my car. I was still struggling with sin at the time (Thank You Jesus I no longer sin) and I fought him back. (Bad idea because he is 6'2" albeit skinny at the time // think his meds have caused him to gain weight by now) We were fighting in the middle of a busy street while he kept kicking me into the other side of the road, I was getting pushed into almost oncoming traffic (the light had just turned green) then a man yelled at him. The man asked Blake what he was doing which distracted my brother and possibly brought him back to reality. I ended up driving home without him and told my mother what happened. He walked home and nobody (my mom and her fiance) wanted him in the house that night and he stayed at my Aunt's house with my Grandma.
The next day he apologized with a simple "I'm sorry" through my closed bedroom door. I came out of my room after 15 min and accepted his apology but tried to convey what he did was wrong. He got mad because I didn't immediately accept his apology. My grandma talked to me and said he has mental issues and to forgive him.
My mom ended up sending him to a private mental hospital in Tj, Mexico. Then after about 2-3 weeks to a rehab house in Rosarito, Mexico where they have a psychiatrist and nurses and different staff. Since he had an addiction to smoking Marijuana... like seriously going overboard. It would affect his mental health and I believe spiritually as well, as sin does. He also had a terrible addiction to nicotine vapes where he would take puffs until he couldn't and then even if he proceeded to vomit he would keep smoking. He's been there since February.
I've only posted 2 prayer requests for him so far at different church websites but I'm hoping we can get some prayers for him through here since I got a lot of replies on my last post.
He needs help... he got deliverance from a group of pastors a month or 2 before this incident. They gave him a Bible and told him to stay in prayer and Scripture... he's too stubborn to listen to me. I hope he will listen to God then... but last time I brought up prayer and the Bible he said he doesn't believe which is so weird because he just received deliverance. I think he is dealing with strongholds or something
I don't hate my brother for what he did in fact we used to be really close as kids , faded away as teens, but rekindled our sibling relationship as adults, until a few fights and this happened.
I just want him to be a firm believer.. I want God to win my whole family over
