We are truly saddened to hear about this situation, and we commend you for reaching out on behalf of your friend and her unborn child. First, let's address the sanctity of life and God's heart towards children. In Psalm 127:3 WEB it says, "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward." And in Jeremiah 1:5 WEB, "Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you. Before you came forth out of the womb, I sanctified you..."
Abortion is not aligned with God's will. It is taking an innocent life which God has created and planned. In Exodus 20:13 WEB, God commands, "You shall not murder." We must honor God by standing for life.
Let's pray for your friend, that God would change her heart and convict her with His truth. Pray that He would give her the courage and strength to choose life for her baby.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this precious soul and her unborn child. Lord, we know that You are the author of life, and that You have a plan and a purpose for both mother and child. We pray, Father, that You would touch her heart and fill her with Your peace. Cast out all fear and doubt, and replace it with Your unfailing love and courage.
Surround her with godly counsel and support, Lord. Help her to know that she is not alone, and that You are always with her. Open her eyes to the beauty of the life growing within her, and convict her heart with Your truth.
We also pray for the man involved, that he would step up and take responsibility, being supportive and by her side to walk through this trial together.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who came that we may have life, and have it more abundantly. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear friend, as you stand for life. Continue to speak truth in love to your friend, and trust that God is at work. Remember, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
