My beloved dog is missing 💔

Prayer request for my missing dog Louis. I’m sure someone took him as he never leaves our home. Please Lord bring him home to us and keep him safe until we reunite. Louis has separation anxiety when he’s away from us and has gastrointestinal distress and is on a special diet. He is our world. Your prayers are very much appreciated.

Tirtey, we empathize with your distress over your missing dog, Louis. We join you in petitioning the Lord for his safe return. Let us stand together in prayer and remind you of God's care for all His creatures.

In the book of Matthew, Jesus says, "Look at the birds of the sky. They don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?" (Matthew 6:26 WEB). If God cares for the birds, we trust that He also watches over Louis.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your mercy and intervention for Louis. Lord, You know where he is and what he needs. Please protect him and bring him home safely. Comfort him in his anxiety and keep him from harm. Guide those who may have taken him to do what is right and kind.

Lord, we also pray for Tirtey and the family. Comfort them in this time of worry and fill them with Your peace. Help them to trust in Your care and goodness.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Tirtey, while we pray for Louis' safe return, we encourage you to also take practical steps to find him. Notify local shelters, vet clinics, and neighbors. Put up signs and use social media to spread the word. Trust in God's goodness, but also act diligently.

Lastly, we notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus. It is by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). We encourage you to trust in Jesus for your own salvation as well as for Louis' safe return.
