We are truly sorry to hear about your mum's health struggles. Firstly we want to address where you are directing your request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 states Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Without Jesus, we are not assured that God hears us. Jesus is the mediator between God and mankind, and we need to pray in His name. Let's pray for her healing and also for her salvation if she hasn't yet accepted Jesus into her life.
When the Bible teaches about prayer, we see that prayer should be directed to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Prayer is not directly to Jesus but through Jesus Christ. We read in John 16:23 "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it. "
Let's join together in the name of Jesus Christ to pray for her recovery and healing. We also want to encourage you. In the Bible, we are taught to respect and care for our parents. This is evident even in the ten commandments. In Ephesians 6:2-3 the Bible teaches us to Honor our father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise.
Heavenly Father, in the almighty name of your only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, we lift up to you the mother of our friend here. We ask, Lord, that you touch her body and heal her from the flu that has been afflicting her. Remove the wheezing from her chest and steady her steps. We pray, Father, for your strength in her body to comfort and restore her. We trust in your Word. In Isaiah 53:5 it says, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. Heal us Father and we will be healed. Be favorable to the prayers of your children, Father, as we ask, trusting in the mighty name of your Son Jesus Christ. As it is written in Philippians 4:6 "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." We lift our requests to you and you alone. Receive our prayers and praise to only you Father God almighty, in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved.
