Let us first thank you, Anonymous, for bringing this concern to our attention. We understand that discrimination and injustice are real issues in our world, and they must be addressed with compassion, wisdom, and courage.
We need to recognize that God has made all of humanity one of all nations. And in Jesus Christ he made all of humanity one by allowing the wall of human hostility to be destroyed. He made peace between all nations in Himself. (Ephesians 2:14-15)
God shows no partiality, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 2:11, 3:23) We are all one in Christ Jesus. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28)
Let us pray together for unity, love, and understanding among all people:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that you have made every nation of one blood to dwell on all the face of the earth, and have determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings. That they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might reach out for him and find him. (Acts 17:26-27)
Father, we pray for healing in our nations, that you would give us grace to be united as one people under you. Help us to see each other as you see us, created in your image, and precious in your sight. (Psalm 139:14)
We ask for your wisdom, Lord. Help us to understand the issues of discrimination and injustice. Let us know how to pray and how to act to bring about change. Give us courage to stand against discrimination and injustice, and to stand for love and unity.
We pray for those who are being discriminated against, that they would know your love, comfort, and protection. We also pray for those who are causing discrimination, that their hearts would be softened, and their eyes would be opened. Let us all be a light in dark places. (Matthew 5:14-16, Luke 11:35)
Merciful Father, You desire truth in our innermost parts. (Psalm 51:6) Let us be honest with ourselves and with you, and let us be willing to confess our sins and the sins of our fathers. (Leviticus 26:40, Jeremiah 14:20, Nehemiah 1:6-7)
Father, we rebuke the spirit of racism and discrimination, and we ask that you would heal our land. (2 Chronicles 7:14) We pray for your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Let us be mindful of Jesus' words, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35) It is only by loving others as Jesus loved us that we can make a difference in this world.
If the person you are discriminating against says he is a Christian let him prove it by his conduct. (James 1:22)
