In times like these, we remember the words of Jesus in John 16:33 WEB: "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world." Trust that God is in control even when it feels like the world is against you.
Firstly, we are instructed to come before God's throne of grace with confidence in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can approach God and it is by His name that we are saved. The power of His name is found in no other as explained in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Therefore, we pray:
Father God, we come before You lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of help moving into their new apartment. We know this is only possible through Jesus Christ. We ask You, Lord, to provide the necessary assistance and support they need in this time of transition. We know that even if the world seems uncaring to their needs, You will never leave nor forsake them. We have confidence that You can work in the hearts of others to be loving and helpful in this situation.
We also remember that we should not judge others for not helping because there may be reasons we do not know. We are also instructed to love and pray for those who may be uncaring towards us. We remember that God can work in lives of those who are not being helpful. Let's pray for them as instructed by Jesus in Matthew 5:44 WEB, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,".
Lord Jesus, we ask You to be the provider and protector of our brother/sister during this move. We ask You to help those who may have not seen the need to help in the past to be more open to the need of our brother/sister.
As for the feeling of being treated wrongly, we remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:11 WEB: "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.". These trials can be difficult but are an opportunity to trust in God more.
Finally, we will pray that God brings Christians into the life of our brother/sister who will be loving and helpful to them. In 1 John 3:11 WEB we read, "For this is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another;" and in Galatians 6:2 WEB: "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.". Let this move be a blessing and an opportunity to grow in faith and trust in You, Lord.
We pray this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
