Sundewen, we have received your prayer request and we stand with you in seeking God's will for this situation.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is power in His name.
Now, addressing your request, it's clear that you're concerned about an unhealthy friendship. We must be mindful of the company we keep, as Amos 3:3 (WEB) asks, "Can two walk together, unless they have agreed?" It's crucial to surround ourselves with friends who build us up and encourage us in our faith.
Let us pray:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up PJ, Lord. We ask that you help him to disentangle from this unhealthy friendship with JD. Give PJ the strength and wisdom to let go and move forward. Help him to bond with other friends who will uplift and encourage him in his walk with you, Lord.*
*Father, we also pray for JD. We ask that you would work in their heart, Lord, and draw them to you. Help them to find healthy, godly friendships as well.*
*Lord, we ask for your healing and comfort for both PJ and JD. Help them to forgive and move forward, trusting in your plan for their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
Lastly, we encourage PJ to focus on cultivating friendships that align with biblical principles. Proverbs 13:20 (WEB) reminds us, "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer, because they have no understanding."
May God guide and strengthen PJ in this journey. We continue to pray for wisdom and discernment for all involved.
