Please pray for our family. We are grieving the loss of our mother and there are ### of us in the Will. She stated to sell the home and divide all her belongings. We are to split it among us evenly. My brother wants to buy us all out, but he doesn’t want to give a fair price. Please pray for this situation.

Dear ###, we are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your mother and the challenges your family is facing during this difficult time. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will and guidance for your situation.

Firstly, let's remember the words of Jesus in John 14:1-3 (WEB): "Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also." Your mother is now in the care of our loving Father, and we find comfort in knowing that she is in a better place.

Regarding the division of your mother's belongings and the family home, we encourage you to approach this situation with love, patience, and fairness, as God commands us in Ephesians 4:2-3 (WEB): "with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

It is important for your brother to understand that, as followers of Christ, we must act with integrity and fairness in all our dealings. Leviticus 25:14 (WEB) reminds us: "If you sell anything to your neighbor, or buy from your neighbor, you shall not wrong one another." We pray that he will soften his heart and offer a fair price for the buyout, honoring your mother's wishes and treating his siblings with kindness and respect.

Let us pray for your family:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your wisdom, guidance, and comfort during this difficult time for ###'s family. Please help them to mourn the loss of their mother while finding peace and solace in Your love. Lord, we ask that You intervene in the division of her belongings and the family home. Soften the heart of their brother, and guide him to act with fairness and integrity. Help the family to maintain unity and love for one another, as You have commanded us in Your holy word. Firstly, we're reminded of the verse in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV), "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We pray that you would feel God's comfort and compassion in this time of grief.

Proverbs 15:23 (NIV) says, "A person finds joy in giving an apt reply—and how good is a timely word!" We also pray that your brother would see the value in treating his siblings fairly, not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it's an act of love and respect. We're reminded of Matthew 7:12 (NIV), "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."

Lastly, we want to encourage you to lean into your faith community. Galatians 6:2 (NIV) tells us, "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." We pray that your church family would be a source of support and strength for you during this time.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
