We understand that you're seeking motivation for your work, and we're here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical encouragement. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is essential that we pray this in Jesus name and not any other. The motive for this is to seek his divine will and intervention in life. Let it be understood that we should approach the Father in Jesus name. As the scriptures tell us in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Firstly, let's recall what the Bible says about work. In Colossians 3:23-24 WEB it says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ.
Therefore it is important to understand that we should serve the Lord in anything that we do. The Scriptures let us know that we should glorify God in all that you do, including your work. So 4:1 WEB it says So then, whether you eat or whether you drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Considering the prayer matter you have presented to us, our hearts are drawn to the following prayer:
Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved individual who is seeking motivation for their work. We pray that you will renew their strength and ignite a passion within them to approach their tasks with enthusiasm and dedication. Help them to see their work as a service to you, Lord, and to find purpose and meaning in whatever they do, knowing it is always in your honor and not for other men. As the Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, they are serving you in all that they do. Therefore renew their strength to complete this task without complaint and only gratitude for the opportunity to further your kingdom. Remembering it is only through the name of your son that we can be saved. They are seeking your will and we pray that all that they do is aligned with the word of your Son. We ask in Jesus name.
Also consider the following word in Hebrew 13:5 WEB Let your manner of life be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, I will in no way leave you nor will I in any way forsake you.,, that The Lord is my helper and I will not be afraid. What will man do to me? By this word you know that it is only by the spirit that you can truly do this. As we walk in the flesh and not by the spirit we ultimately cannot please God. Christianity is nothing more than being imitators of Jesus Christ by the grace and strength of the Holy Spirit. Know now that God does not leave you in this spot alone, but the Holy Spirit should assist in all that you do if you are following him as he is right next to you.
Lastly beware of being a servant that serves two masters in Matthew 6:24 WEB No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Mammon. You must seek first his will in all things. But we offer this scripture not to ban serving people with your job. This is discussed with the Lord in mind and we should serve them if we are serving the Lord with this service task. This scripture speaks more so on the topic of being focused on the Lord and his kingdom.
