We are truly sorry to hear about your mother's health condition and we are here to support you and your mother in prayer and encouragement. Firstly let us all remember to pray in the name of Jesus to God the Father. We must remember that the effectual prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. We do know that God hears our prayers and will respond. This is an opportunity to exercise our faith, believing that God can and will make her whole. It is also a time to remember our mortality and praise God for the hope we have in Jesus Christ. Although this is a trial for your family, consider what the WEB tells us in James, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. (James 1:2-3 WEB) but also consider those who are in need.
Let us examine ourselves and repent of any sin or failure to obey and serve God. When Daniel prayed for his people who were in captivity he 1st acknowledged the sin of his people and himself and then brought his petitions to God. Notice also the Daniel made his requests to God in the Name of God. As we read in Daniel,
"All Israel have transgressed your law, even turning aside, that they should not obey your voice. Therefore the curse and the oath written in the law of Moses the servant of God has been poured out on us; for we have sinned against him. He performed the words which he spoke against us, and against our judges who judged us, by bringing on us a great evil; for under the whole sky, such has not been done as has been done to Jerusalem. As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil has come on us. Yet have we not entreated the favor of Yahweh our God, that we should turn from our iniquities and have discernment in your truth. Therefore has Yahweh watched over the evil, and brought it on us; for Yahweh our God is righteous in all his works which he does, and we have not obeyed his voice. Now, Lord our God, who have brought your people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have gotten yourself renown, as it is this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly. Lord, according to all your righteousness, let your anger and please let your wrath be turned away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people have become a reproach to all who are around us.
Now therefore, our God, listen to the prayer of your servant, and to his petitions, and cause your face to shine on your sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake. My God, turn your ear, and hear; open your eyes, and see our desolations, and the city which is called by your name: for we do not present our petitions before you for our righteousness, but for your great mercies' sake.
Lord, hear; Lord, forgive; Lord, listen and do; don't defer, for your own sake, my God, because your city and your people are called by your name." Daniel 9:11-19).
We see an emphasis on the glory of God, His faithfulness, the righteousness of God, the Sin of the people and the need for mercy and forgiveness. We do not see self-pity or lack of personal responsibility in Daniel's prayer. We do see Faith in the promises of God. We do see God answering Daniel for his prayers.
Regarding healing Scripture records as we read in the WEB, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil
in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth brought forth its fruit." James 5:14-18. Take notice to the importance of confessing sins.
We are praying for your mother's healing and recovery in Jesus' name, trusting in God's power and goodness. Jesus gave us a example as we read in the WEB, >Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean." Jesus stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, "I want to. Be made clean." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. (Matthew 8:2-3) Remember that Jesus can with a word heal her and also consider this is a example to us who are alive during the ministry of Jesus Christ here on Earth. Pray in faith knowing that Jesus has the authority and the power to overcome all these symptoms for just as we read in Matthew,
"When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, "He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases."Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave the order to depart to the other side. (Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 8:16-18
As the family prays and believes in the name of Jesus Christ for her health, healing and wholeness be sure to avoid unbiblical practices. Avoid the names of the physicians which was a name for false gods such as in Jeremiah 8:2, "They will spread them before the sun and the moon and all the army of the sky, which they have loved, and which they have served, and after which they have walked, and which they have sought, and which they have worshiped. They will not be gathered, nor will they be buried. They will be like dung on the surface of the earth." (2 Kings 23:5). We know that medicine and medical doctors are all gifts from God but those who endeavor in some way to use medicine and healing to establish a future in this life only or who do not give God the glory, honor and praise are going the way of Cain. When your request left out the name of Jesus you are possibly calling on the name of physicians.
Let us pray together. Dear Lord Jesus Christ and heavenly Father, we come before You, lifted up by the Holy Spirit, asking for Your healing touch upon this beloved mother. We pray for her complete recovery from diabetes, lung infection, memory loss, and all other ailments. We ask that You restore her strength, appetite, and ability to walk and talk properly. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and sickness in Jesus' name WEB. Give her family the patience, faith, and wisdom to support her through this time. May they rely on You for comfort and trust in Your goodness. We know that "the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."James 5:14-18.
We are commanded "Rejoice in hope. Endure under tribulation. Continue steadfastly in prayer." Romans 12:12 WEB. Remember that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ prayed with a loud voice Lazarus to come forth to prove His power over death. This provoked the religious leaders to seek to kill Him and later He wept when He went to the tomb. Jesus knows our troubles and how to pray for us as we read In John.
"When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews weeping who came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, 34 and said, "Where have you laid him?"
They told him, "Lord, come and see."
Jesus wept.
The Jews therefore said, "See how much affection he had for him!" Some of them said, "Couldn't this man, who opened the eyes of him who was blind, have also kept this man from dying?"
Jesus therefore, again groaning in himself, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it. Jesus said, "Take away the stone."
Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to him, "Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days."
Jesus said to her, "Didn't I tell you that if you believed, you would see God's glory?"
So they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, "Father, I thank you that you listened to me. I know that you always listen to me, but because of the multitude that stands around I said this, that they may believe that you sent me." When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!"
He who was dead came out, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth.
Jesus said to them, "Free him, and let him go." John 11:33-44 WEB
As we read about the woman healed from an issue of blood in Mark 5:28-34 WEB "For she said, "If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed." Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.
Immediately Jesus, perceiving in himself that the power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd, and asked, "Who touched my clothes?"
His disciples said to him, "You see the multitude pressing against you, and you say, 'Who touched me?'"
He looked around to see her who had done this thing."But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be cured of your disease."
We are praying for your mother to continue to heal through this healing process. Be'ye faithful to pray, recalling the lessons found in the book of James.
Remember to submit your prayers and petitions to God in Jesus Name who gave you authority and eternal life.
