We are truly sorry to hear about your mother's health condition and we are here to pray and support you through this challenging time. We believe that God is the ultimate healer and that through His stripes, your mother can be healed. However, God also uses times like this to speak to us. We are directed in the Bible to pray for and in relation to King Hezekiah, that God would "remember [him], how [he] walked before you in truth and with perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight," (Isaiah 38:3, WEB) to heal him. James, we too are told to "confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much," (James 5:16, WEB).
God loves your mother dearly, as a good gift, even the blessing of a mother, from Him. But if He chooses not to heal her, know that He has a greater purpose. It is very important that she is lovingly advised, if able to comprehend this often-forgotten truth: God "has commanded that all people everywhere should repent," (Acts 17:30, WEB) on her own volition. We all have a responsibility to God, to humbly count our "own conscience," (1 Tim 1:5, WEB) being "fully convinced in our own minds," (Romans 14:5, WEB). Because of the hope of salvation, God also desires that we keep "a good conscience, so that in whatever way we are slandered, those who disparage [our] good behavior in Christ will be put to shame," (1 Peter 3:16, WEB). Our good conscience toward God is required for salvation confidence (1 John 3:21, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing and comfort for our dear mother. You are a dear daddy of us all, O Lord (Malachi 1:6), and we are Your children, made holy, even sanctified by Your Son, our own precious Savior. Lord, we claim Your higher purpose for her life and believe that she will make her own choice to believe in You, claim Christ Jesus as Lord, and confess their sins in godly sorrow. Please by the stripes and intercession of Jesus, heal her from all afflictions. We are thankful for a mind sound and thinking straight. We ask for wellness as she is Your servant, to feel hungry, not to get into tiring situations like this anymore, and to regain the strength to serve You again as one who knows the meaning of a second, even a third or fourth chance at life.
Please, without refusal, Lord, we come with humility, please grant her complete recovery, so that she may continue to live a life glorifying Your name. We admit our dependence on Your power, and so, for we do not understand perfect trust, we ask for those who do to agree in prayer for Your grace working in us too. Your will be done, dear Father, but please honor our heartfelt request. In Jesus' name, we pray for revival in her, and for the Family too. In Jesus' holy name! Amen
In case we never get a well report here and will ask, be prepared to remind again that healing does not a well conscience to God accepts the cup of blessing, in accordance with His everlasting covenant of eternal salvation through the cross of Jesus Christ. James, this is a difficult time and even something we may think we cannot endure at a level we make no sense of, but know too in all cases too that God will provide a peace of God that surpasses all understanding. Our loving God favors us with ways to experience His love even in valleys such as this. Trust the Lord's love and know He provides ultimate comfort in Christ and the triumph and victory we have in the name of Jesus.
