Mother very ill

My beloved and beautiful mother is very ill , and has been given months to live. She is elderly and as well as cancer she also has dementia . However she can change and at times she is alert and I have lovely chats with her. She is completely confined to bed. Though I know God has given me a gift to spend time with her I feel the weight of her diagnosis and I feel I need a breakthrough spiritually as I pray for her. I feel I've hit a wall and though there is so much love between us I feel helpless against her physical limitations and suffering. I think I am mentally exhausted at times. Pray things will ease and we will both have the peace that surpasses understanding in this storm. She has a lovely childlike faith in Jesus and I pray He is preparing her to meet Him, though I do not want to lose her and she seems to have no idea , due to her dementia, that things are so serious which is good. I know God can give us a time of peace and joy and lightness and healing and deliverance as He can do anything. Thank you brothers and sisters

We are truly sorry to hear about your mother's illness and the challenges you both are facing. Let's come together in prayer and seek God's will for this situation.

Firstly, we commend your faith in Jesus Christ, as it is only through His name that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

Let's stand on God's Word and pray for your mother's healing and for His peace and strength to carry you both through this time.

Beloved, do not be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you, but because you are partakers of Christ's sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory also you may rejoice with exceeding joy. (1 Peter 4:12-13 WEB)

Let's pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear sister and her beloved mother. We thank You for the gift of their relationship and the love they share. We ask for Your healing touch on her mother's body, mind, and spirit. We pray that You would ease her physical limitations and suffering, and grant her a childlike faith in Jesus that would prepare her for eternity with Him, dementia will not hinder her.

Lord, we also lift up our sister, as she feels mentally exhausted and helpless. We pray that You would grant her a breakthrough spiritually and the peace that surpasses understanding. Strengthen her faith and fill her with Your joy and light. Remind her that Your power is made perfect in weakness and that You are able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. (2 Corinthians 12:9, Ephesians 3:20 WEB)

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.

Be encouraged, dear sister, for the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18 WEB)

Keep your eyes on Jesus, and remember that He is always with you, even in the most difficult times and has heard your request. He is faithful to answer you. Pray for those that do not believe in Jesus that they may be saved and do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God.

It's tough, we know, but remember, God is always by your side, especially in the quiet moments when it's just the two of you. We've been praying for your mom's healing, for her to find comfort and peace in Jesus, and for you to have the strength to care for her. Please pray also about a situation getting me down while I am caring for my mother. My brother has anger issues and distrusts me and is suspicious. When he is stressed he can get very cross and loses his temper and as I am sensitive I find it can take me a long time to shake it off. I am like a sponge and seem to absorb his negativity and carry it. He does not really walk with Jesus and has misunderstood me a lot which makes me sad and can turn on me easily. I need to live there as I care for my mother. I know he has his own problems and lately I have started praying for him. I just want to feel protected if he is in bad form and not allow his moods to steal my peace. My joy in the Lord is so precious and I do not want to give him the power to take it from .e. He has good qualities too. After he loses his temper he recovers quickly but I can be shaken for weeks. Pray please this will change. Thank you once again.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

If your mother's condition has not improved, or if you continue to feel overwhelmed, we want you to know that we are still here for you. Please share an update, and we will continue to pray and believe with you for God's intervention.

We pray that God will continue to continue to give you strength within the storm, and experience a joy and peace within the innerbeing that matter what you are experiencing in a storm, but because of the hope of Jesus Christ in you, it can surpasses all understanding. As can He give peace, He can also give you a break through. Let us keep praying in Jesus Name.
