Mother very ill Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request for a family member's health.

My mother is elderly and very ill. She is bedridden with late stage dementia and late stage cancer. It's breaking my heart seeing her struggle. Pray she will have more times of peace here on earth before The Lord calls her home. With dementia, she is making noises often loud for hours and it's so difficult to feed her and keep her hydrated. Perhaps because of her diagnosis, she was taken off most of her tablets which she was on for depression/anxiety and the poor woman seems to be having panic attacks as well as everything else. When she has a window when she is awake, she is full of love and affection. She knows Jesus. Please pray the Lord will calm this storm so I can care for her properly as the loud noises, anxiety, etc., are depriving me of sleep. Thank you.

We are truly heartbroken to hear about your mother's condition, and we are here to support you and lift her up in prayer. We commend you for your love and dedication in caring for her. Let us remember God's promise: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Firstly, we thank God that your mother knows Jesus. This is the most important thing. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by believing in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. As the Bible says, "in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.

We pray that God will grant her more moments of peace and lucidity, and that He will calm the storm that you both are facing. We pray for supernatural strength for you as you care for her. We will ask for God's will regarding her health. As we know that our bodies are just temporary and that this world is not our home. We believe in a literal heaven, where pain and sickness will be no more.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your mercy and grace to be poured out on our dear sister and her mother. Lord, please calm the storm that they are facing, and grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray for healing, for Your will to be done, and for strength and endurance for her mother. We rebuke the spirit of death and anxiety, and we ask You to comfort them both. Lord, it is only by your name that we can come to you. Lord, you know that we believe that it is only by believing in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. We trust in You and Your promises. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Regarding the difficult behaviors and sounds your mother is making, remember that these are symptoms of her illness and not a reflection of who she is. Continue to show her love and patience, as you have been doing. In those precious moments when she is awake and full of love, treasure them and find comfort knowing that she knows Jesus.

Heavenly Father, you are Jehovah Rapha, our God who heals and restores us and we are grateful for your healing touch! We thank you so much for your love for us. We pray now that you will make your healing hand known as we lift this person and their healing needs to you. Lord, please begin the healing process and give this person the strength and patience to follow you and allow them to walk through this period with continual thanks and praise to you. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
