We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and difficulties you've experienced, especially the harm caused by your mother and the resulting health issues. We want to remind you that God sees your pain and He cares deeply for you. As it says in Psalm 34:18 WEB ,The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Firstly, we want to emphasize the importance of forgiveness. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:32 WEB to Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Forgiving your mother for the harm she caused is not easy, but it is crucial for your spiritual and emotional healing. It does not mean that what she did was acceptable, but rather, it releases you from the burden of bitterness and resentment.
Regarding your health problems, we believe that God can heal you physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
We also want to address that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 WEB For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ and therefore have not received salvation, we recommend that you do so now. The basic salvation message is that if you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved as Romans 10:9 WEB. This will not only give you eternal life and therefore a future in heaven, but it will also give you a real relationship with the living God and therefore a purpose in this life.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear sister who has been through so much pain and suffering. We pray for Your healing touch upon her life—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We ask for her health to be restored. Lord, we know that You are close to the brokenhearted and that You bind up their wounds.
Please help her to forgive her mother for the harm she caused, just as You have forgiven us through Christ. Release her from any bitterness or resentment, and fill her heart with Your peace and love.
And Holy Spirit please convict her heart of her need for Jesus Christ if she has not already accepted Him as Lord and Saviour.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by the words in Romans 8:28 WEB,We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Trust that God can turn even the most painful experiences into something beautiful and purposeful.
We would like to comment that you could seek counsel from a Godly woman in your life who can provide guidance as a mother+figure. If you are a member of a local church, there may be older women who would be willing to take you under their wing and mentor you in the faith. Titus 2:3-5 WEB says, 3 Honor widows that are widows indeed. 4 But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety towards their own family, and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God. 5 Now she who is a widow indeed, and desolate, has her hope set on God, and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.
Lastly, remember that God is your ultimate source of comfort and strength. He can fill the void left by your earthly mother and provide you with the love and nurturing you need. Psalm 68:5 WEB A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
