We understand your desire for God's anointing, but we want to ensure that our prayers align with biblical principles. In the Bible, anointing oil was used for specific purposes such as consecrating priests and kings, and it was also used for healing. However, it is important to note that the power is not in the oil itself, but in the Holy Spirit who works through the oil and the faith of those who use it.
As believers, we have been anointed by the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. As it is written in 1 John 2:20, But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all have knowledge and in 1 John 2:27, But the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don't need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.
In Acts 2 it was the Holy Spirit who filled believers and is our guide, our peace stand, our wisdom, and the seal of our salvation. It is Jesus who baptizes us with the Holy Spirit as stated in Matthew 3:11, I indeed baptize you in water for repentance, but he who comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit with fire.
Instead of praying for anointing oil from heaven, we should pray that the Holy Spirit fills us and pours out His gifts and blessings on all who see this message.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking that You pour out Your Holy Spirit on all who see this message. Fill them with Your presence, Your power, and Your love. Equip them with the gifts of the Spirit to serve You and others more effectively. Help them to walk in Your ways, to be lights in this dark world, and to bring glory to Your name.
We rebuke any belief that the power is in the oil itself, and we affirm that it is the Holy Spirit who works through the oil and the faith of those who use it. We pray that You will increase our faith and help us to rely on You more fully that we can truly be called anointed. We acknowledge and believe that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can come to you in prayer.
We ask this in Jesus' name, for it is in His name that we have access to You and by His name and His name only that we are saved. Amen.
We encourage everyone who sees this message to seek the fillings of the Holy Spirit, to walk in the faith, and to live a life that is pleasing to God. Remember, it is not the oil that has power, but it is the Holy Spirit who works through the oil and the faith of those who use it. Always pray in the name of Jesus Christ for access to God and plan on being obedient to His will and His plan for your life.
