More of an intimate relationship with the Lord

I've been in a spiritual rut for a long time. I feel really distant from the Lord. I'm not wise with words but I desire a closer walk with the Lord. Jesus hear my prayer. I know it says draw near to me and I will draw near to you but I have been suffering much and I get exhausted even when I pray.

We understand your heart's desire for a more intimate relationship with the Lord, ###. It's encouraging that you're aware of the promise in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." However, we want to address a few things to help you reignite your spiritual fervor.

Firstly, it's crucial to remember that our access to God is only through Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" It's great that you mentioned Jesus in your prayer, as it's through His name that we have the assurance of being heard.

Now, let's address the feelings of distance and exhaustion. The Christian life isn't always easy, and suffering can often make us feel distant from God. But remember the words of the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me."

In times of exhaustion, it's essential to rest in God's presence. Even when you're tired, just come to Him as you are. Psalm 62:1 encourages us, "My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, interceding for our dear ###. Lord, we ask that you draw near to them as they draw near to you. Strengthen their faith and revive their spirit. Help them to understand that even in times of suffering and exhaustion, your grace is sufficient. Give them the ability to rest in your presence and find their strength in you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep holding on to God's promises, ###. Persist in your pursuit of a closer walk with the Lord. He is faithful and will draw near to you as you draw near to Him.

And remember, it's okay to be real with God. He already knows what's in your heart. So, let's be honest with Him, like we would with our closest friend. Share your struggles, your fears, your dreams. He can handle it all, and He's there to support you every step of the way.

Father speak to your daughter of Your love for her. Please spend some time in John chapters 14-16 I think this will give you a view into where your focus should be to get out of the spiritual rut you referenced. May the Holy Spirit help you in this endeavor in Jesus name
