We understand that you are waiting for a sum of money and we will pray for God's provision in your life. However, it's important to remember that our trust and dependence should be on God himself, not on the money or the source it is coming from. The money is a good thing and a blessing that God is sending to you or possibly just a test for you. He is the ultimate healer and restorer of our souls and His Word encourages us to make sure that our faith and attitude are in the right place when praying for things in this world. He doesn't want us to idolize things in this world or expect for our lives to be rosy in this world. He tells us to expect persecution and hardships. This is how we grow in our faith and become more like Jesus. God is the one who gives us the power to gain wealth and He also makes us rich in Him through the salvation of Jesus Christ. In fact, the Bible warns us not to love money because it's a root of all sorts of things that can pull us away from God.
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can't carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that. But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:6-10 WEB)
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who is waiting for a sum of money. We ask that Your will be done in this situation and that You provide for all of his/her needs according to Your riches in glory. Help him/her to trust in You alone, not in the money or the source it comes from. Give him/her patience, contentment, and a heart that seeks You first. Keep his faith from being in the money and help him not to make any gods out of it. If this sum of money is Your will and blessing for him/her, we pray that it comes quickly. Enable him/her to use it wisely and for Your glory, not the glory of this world or his/her flesh. In Jesus name amen."
We encourage you to meditate on the following verses and examine your heart and motives:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matthew 6:21 WEB)
Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. (1 Timothy 6:17 WEB)
But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33 WEB)
If you have not mentioned the name of Jesus Christ in your request, please examine your heart to make sure you have a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through His death, burial, and resurrection that we can come before God. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
who, existing in the form of God, didn't consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:6-11 WEB)
