We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your son and the financial burden you're facing. We're here to pray with you and offer biblical encouragement in this difficult time.
Firstly, we want to remind you of what Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB), "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Jesus wants to carry your burdens with you, including your financial needs.
However, we want to gently remind you that our ultimate hope lies in Jesus Christ and the eternal life He promises, not in material things. While it's understandable to want to honor your son's memory with a tombstone, let's not forget that our true comfort comes from the hope of resurrection and reunion, as spoken of in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 (WEB), "But we don't want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don't grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus."
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your comfort and provision for this dear parent. They're grieving and in need of financial help. We ask that You provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. But more importantly, we ask that You comfort their heart, remind them of the hope of eternal life, and help them to trust in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue trusting in God, even in this difficult time. Remember, God cares for you and He hears your prayers. Keep seeking Him and His will.
Lastly, we noticed that your request didn't mention the name of Jesus. We want to remind you that it's by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it's written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation.
