Lucy, we join you in lifting up Modesser (Tito's cousin) in prayer. We are grateful that you have brought this concern to us in Jesus' name.
Firstly, let's remember what the Scriptures tell us about God's heart for those in distress and His sovereignty over nations and authorities. In Psalm 146:9 (WEB), it is written, "WEB Yahweh preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but the way of the wicked he turns upside down." Additionally, Proverbs 21:1 (WEB) reminds us, "The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the rivers of water. He turns it wherever he desires."
Let us pray together:
"Father God, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Modesser to You. Lord, You see his situation and You care about him deeply. We ask for Your divine intervention in this matter. We pray that the authorities will show him mercy and grant him a visa to stay in Egypt. We stand against any plans of the enemy to send him back to Sudan. Lord, we know that You are the One who turns the hearts of kings, and we trust that You can soften the hearts of the authorities to favor Modesser.
We also pray for Tito and Tamara, Lord. Comfort their hearts and replace their worry with Your perfect peace. Remind them of Your faithfulness and Your promise to never leave nor forsake them.
In Jesus' name, we declare that Your will be done in Modesser's life and that Your purpose will prevail. Amen."
Lucy, we encourage you to continue trusting in God's goodness and faithfulness. Remember, it is through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we receive salvation and grace. Keep praying and believing, for God is mighty to save.
Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name. It is important to acknowledge the power and authority that comes with His name, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).
