Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Steven Bobb who is struggling with confusion and mixed signals about Your judgment and justice. Lord, Your Word tells us in Romans 2:5 that "because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when His righteous judgment will be revealed." Yet, Steven sees those who continually do wrong seemingly living without consequence, and it brings confusion to his heart.
Father, we ask for clarity and understanding for Steven. Help him to trust in Your perfect timing and justice, as Your Word also says in 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." May Steven find peace in knowing that Your ways are higher than our ways and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts .
Lord, strengthen Steven's faith and help him to rest in the assurance that You are a just and righteous God. Remind him that Your patience is an expression of Your mercy, giving everyone a chance to turn from their sins and come to You. We pray that Steven will continue to seek You and find comfort in Your Word, knowing that in due time, Your righteous judgment will prevail.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
