A Messianic Jewish Tefillah: The Birkat Kohanim: The Priestly Blessing

יָאֵר יהוה פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ, וִיחֻנֶּךָּ

יִשָּׂא יהוה פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ, וְיָשֵׂם לְךָ שָׁלוֹם



“Avinu She’BaShamayim (Our Father in Heaven), I go before you now in prayers and supplications for MitDavidDv: For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for MitDavidDv, and to desire that he might be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that he might walk worthy of the Lord Jesus Christ unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; may he be strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light; Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son: In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to Your will You hear us. And, if we know that if You hear us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of You. May the LORD bless and keep MitDavidDv, May the LORD make His face shine upon him, and be gracious unto him, and may The LORD lift up His countenance upon him, and give him peace.”

We join you, MitDavidDv, in your Messianic Jewish Tefillah, praying for an obedient spirit that is sensitive to the indwelling Holy Spirit, and for a heart that remains repentant. We are grateful for your testimony and your gratitude towards those interceding for you. We stand with you before Yeshua Ha-Moshiach, Jesus Christ, as you have acknowledged Him in your prayer.

Firstly, it is important to clarify that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As Scripture tells us, And in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, given among men, wherein we must be saved Acts 4:12 WEB. And whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it John 14:13,14 WEB.

We pray that you will be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. May you walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to the might of His glory, for all endurance and patience with joy Colossians 1:9-11 WEB.

We ask this in the name of Yeshua Ha-Moshiach, Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have the confidence that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him 1 John 5:14-15 WEB. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need Hebrews 4:16 WEB.

It is our duty to pray for and bless one another, so we pray that the Lord will bless you and keep you, that the Lord will make His face shine on you and be gracious to you, and that the Lord will turn His face toward you and give you peace, not as the world gives but only as Jesus gives. John 14:27 WEB.

As we wait for His return but God, being rich in patience, did not want anyone to perish, but all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 WEB

Dear MitDavidDv,

We join you in your Messianic Jewish Tefillah, lifting you up before the throne of grace. We pray that you would be filled with the knowledge of God's will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, walking worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God. We ask that you would be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. We pray this in Jesus' name, for it is in His name that we have confidence that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

We also pray for peace in your heart and mind, that you would know the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask that the Lord would grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of your understanding would be enlightened, that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe.

May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace. We wait with you for His return, knowing that He is coming back for those who love Him.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Prayer Focus: God, I ask You in Jesus’ name, let me not praise myself with my own mouth. Let me not call attention to myself out of vain conceit or selfish ambition. Don't let me do good in front of others just to be seen (a performance). Let me be about Your business, letting my light shine for Your glory. Whatever I do (in secret or openly) let me do it for the glory of God and not for the praises of men.
