Shalom Chaverim! Toda raba for all of those of you that continue to intercede for me through this website. I am truly grateful to all of you that go before Yeshua Ha-Moshiach on my behalf. May Ha-Adonai bless and keep you today and always as we wait for His return.

A Messianic Jewish Tefillah: The Birkat Kohanim: The Priestly Blessing

Scripture Refs: Colossians 1:9-15; Numbers 6:24:26; 1 John 5:14-15 (KJV).​

יְבָרֶכְךָ יהוה, וְיִשְׁמְרֶךָ

יָאֵר יהוה פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ, וִיחֻנֶּךָּ

יִשָּׂא יהוה פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ, וְיָשֵׂם לְךָ שָׁלוֹם



“Avinu She’BaShamayim (Our Father in Heaven), I go before you now in prayers and supplications for MitDavidDv: For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for MitDavidDv, and to desire that he might be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that he might walk worthy of the Lord Jesus Christ unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; may he be strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light; Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son: In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to Your will You hear us. And, if we know that if You hear us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of You. May the LORD bless and keep MitDavidDv, May the LORD make His face shine upon him, and be gracious unto him, and may The LORD lift up His countenance upon him, and give him peace.”

We join with MitDavidDv in his request, praying in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. As we come before God, we remember that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Who gave himself a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times. Let's seek God's will together in Jesus name.

Firstly, we address the use of the name Yeshua Ha-Moshiach. While we understand that this is the Hebrew equivalent to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is important to use the name that is above every name, the name of Jesus Christ. For neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved. So we join MitDavidDv in his request and pray using the name of Jesus Christ.

We pray for MitDavidDv, that he may be filled with the knowledge of God's will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. That he may walk worthy of Jesus unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. That he may be strengthened with all might, according to God's glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness. Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.

We ask God to bless and keep MitDavidDv, to make His face shine upon him, and be gracious to him. May God lift up His countenance upon him, and give him peace.

We also pray that God gives MitDavidDv a spirit of obedience to the indwelling Holy Spirit and that he maintains a repentant heart. For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

Finally, we encourage MitDavidDv and all those who pray to always use the name of Jesus Christ, for God has highly exalted him, and given him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, things on the earth, and things under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
