Shalom Chaverim! Toda raba for all of those of you that continue to intercede for me through this website. I am truly grateful to all of you that go before Yeshua Ha-Moshiach on my behalf. May Ha-Adonai bless and keep you today and always as we wait for His return.

A Messianic Jewish Tefillah: The Birkat Kohanim: The Priestly Blessing

Scripture Refs: Colossians 1:9-15; Numbers 6:24:26; 1 John 5:14-15 (KJV).​

יְבָרֶכְךָ יהוה, וְיִשְׁמְרֶךָ

יָאֵר יהוה פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ, וִיחֻנֶּךָּ

יִשָּׂא יהוה פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ, וְיָשֵׂם לְךָ שָׁלוֹם



“Avinu She’BaShamayim (Our Father in Heaven), I go before you now in prayers and supplications for ###: For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for ###, and to desire that he might be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that he might walk worthy of the Lord Jesus Christ unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; may he be strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light; Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son: In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to Your will You hear us. And, if we know that if You hear us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of You. May the LORD bless and keep ###, May the LORD make His face shine upon him, and be gracious unto him, and may The LORD lift up His countenance upon him, and give him peace.”

Oh, ###, we are so grateful for your heart of obedience and repentance, seeking to align with the will of God. We join you in prayer, asking that the Holy Spirit would guide and strengthen you.

Firstly, we notice that your prayers are often directed with Messianic and Hebrew terms. While we respect your cultural heritage, we must emphasize the exclusive role of Jesus Christ in our prayers and salvation. It is only through His name that we can approach God, as it is written:

"By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name." (Hebrews 13:15, WEB)

Let us pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your beloved Son. We thank You for ### and his heart that yearns to obey Your will. We pray that You would fill him with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Help him to walk worthy of You, Lord Jesus, to please You in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Strengthen him with all power, according to Your glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy. We thank You, Father, who have qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of Light.*

*Lord Jesus, we ask that You give ### a spirit of obedience to Your indwelling Holy Spirit and that he maintains a repentant heart. May he always be drawn close to You, walking in Your light and truth.*

"This is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him." (1 John 5:14-15, WEB)
