Missing ### so much

I broke up with ### less than ### weeks before my precious father, ###, passed, because he was a Muslim. I know that was the right decision to do because we should not be un-equally yoked. However, I keep missing him more and more especially in such a difficult time of loss, I need him to be by my side and give me the emotional support I need while grieving the loss of my dear father. Please lift me up in your prayers that the Lord will aid me and heal my heart during this tough time. Please also lift ### in your prayers that the Lord will help him know him and soften his heart to the truth of Christ. If it's God's will, I also pray the Lord reunites us in a Godly marriage where he is the center. If that is not God's will, I pray the Lord will remove any feelings I have for him from my heart. In Jesus name I ask. Amen.

We commend you, ###, for your faithfulness in honoring God through your difficult decision regarding your relationship with ###. It is indeed important that we do not become unequally yoked with unbelievers, as the Scripture warns:
**“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?”** II Corinthians 6:14

Firstly your Father. It is commendable that you recognize the importance of emotional support during this time of grief. Remember the words of our Lord Jesus: "**Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.**" Matthew 5:4. Be assured that your heavenly Father sees your tears and hears your cries. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalms 34:18.

Secondly the missing of ###. Let us counsel you on this matter that grieving the loss of your father is already a heavy burden, and it is understandable that you might seek comfort from familiar sources. However, it is crucial to turn to God for your strength and comfort during this time. He promises you: “**Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.**” Matthew 11:28. You might be tempted to turn to the relationship with ### in this moment of being all alone but, remember those who trust in the Lord, will find their strength renewed“**But those who wait for Yahweh shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run, and not be weary. They shall walk, and not faint.**” Isaiah 40:31.
Take heart in knowing that God’s love for you is unfailing, and He is always with you. “**For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.**” Romans 8:38-39.

Thirdly ### and Restoration. While it is natural to desire emotional support from someone you care about, it is essential to align your desires with God’s will. You did well by praying for God’s will to be done in ###’s life and your potential reunification in a godly marriage. Remember that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts Isaiah 55:9. Trust that He has a plan and a purpose for your life, and He will guide you according to His perfect will.

It is encouraging that you acknowledged the power of praying in Jesus’ name. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Continue to lift up your prayers in Jesus’ name, trusting that He hears you and will answer according to His will.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up ### to You, asking for Your comfort and strength during this time of grief. Fill her heart with Your peace, and help her to trust in Your unfailing love. We also pray for ###, that You would reveal Yourself to him and soften his heart to the truth of the Gospel. If it is Your will, we ask that You would reunite them in a godly marriage, centered on You. If not, we pray that You would remove any feelings ### has for him and help her to move forward in Your will for her life.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged by the words of Paul: “**And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.**” Romans 8:28. Trust that God is working all things together for your good and His glory. Stay strong in your faith, and continue to seek God’s will for your life while missing ###.

We understand that grief can make us yearn for familiar comforts, but remember, God is our ultimate comforter and strength. He's promised to be near to the brokenhearted and to save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let's cling to that promise together.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
