We are truly saddened to hear about the disappearance of Courtney Brister and we stand with you and Jessica in prayer for her safe return.
Firstly, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! (Acts 4:12 WEB).
In moments like these, we must remember God's promise to never leave us nor forsake us. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB).
We pray for Courtney's safety and well-being, asking God to guide and protect her wherever she may be. Father, we ask that You extend Your hand of mercy and protection over Courtney. Surround her with Your angels and keep her from all harm and danger. Guide her steps and bring her safely back to her mother.
We also pray for Jessica, asking God to grant her peace, strength, and comfort during this difficult time. Father, we ask that You comfort Jessica and grant her the peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to trust in You and to cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
Moreover, we pray for the search efforts, asking God to guide those who are looking for Courtney and to bring them success in their endeavors. Father, we ask that You guide the authorities and volunteers who are searching for Courtney. Give them wisdom, discernment, and success in their efforts.
Lastly, we pray for Courtney's faith and relationship with God. We pray that through this experience, she would draw closer to Him and put her trust in Him. Father, we ask that You use this situation to draw Courtney closer to You. Help her to put her trust in You and to know that You are always with her.
Let us remember the story of the lost sheep in Luke 15:3-7 (WEB). Just as the shepherd went after the one lost sheep, so too does our Heavenly Father care for Courtney and desires to bring her safely home.
What man of you, having one hundred sheep, and losing one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost, until he finds it? When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!' I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.
We stand with you and Jessica in faith, believing that God is able to bring Courtney safely home. Keep praying and trusting in God, for He is faithful and His love endures forever.
