We are truly sorry to hear about your missing programming book and the distress it has caused you. We will stand with you in prayer and encourage you to trust in God's care during this challenging time. We are glad that you understand the importance of the name of Jesus in prayer.
Firstly, let us remind you of the importance of diligence and stewardship. In the Parable of the Talents Matthew 25:14-30 (WEB):
For it is like a man, going into another country, who called his own servants, and entrusted his goods to them.
...
His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who has lost an important programming book. Lord, You know the value of this book to them and the impact it has on their upcoming exams. We pray that You will guide them to the book's location or provide a solution that allows them to continue their studies unhindered.
Father, we also pray for peace and strength for them during this time. Help them to trust in Your sovereignty and goodness, even in this challenging situation. Let this experience be a reminder to all of us to be good stewards of the resources You have entrusted to us.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who taught us to be faithful in every circumstance.
Father God help them to take this experience as a lesson to be better stewards of the knowledge you have given them. Help them to not be reliant on this book for their education but rather seek you and your understanding of the subject matter.
Thank you for being compassionate and understanding.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen."
Lastly, we encourage you to remain diligent in your studies and not to be overly dependent on a single resource. Trust in God's provision and wisdom, and He will guide you through your exams. Be encouraged by Colossians 3:23 (WEB):
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,"
