We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we want you to know that we're here to support and pray with you. Firstly, it's important to address the struggles you're facing at work. God does not want us to remain in a place where we feel miserable, but He does want us to trust in Him through all circumstances.
"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB
Let's pray for God's guidance and provision in your career:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus Christ's name, lifting up our dear one who is struggling in her workplace. We pray that You would open new doors of opportunity for her, that You would guide her steps to a new job where she can use her gifts and talents for Your glory. We rebuke any attack of the enemy on her to keep her in a state of hopelessness, and we claim Your promise that You have plans to prosper her and not to harm her, plans to give her hope and a future. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Regarding your husband's drinking, God hates the destruction that alcohol brings to families.
"Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaints? Who has needless bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes? Those who stay long at the wine; those who go to seek out mixed wine. Don’t look at the wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly. In the end, it bites like a snake, and poisons like a viper." Proverbs 23:29-32 WEB
It's also important to remember that we are not to remain silent in the face of sin.
"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck, and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea." Matthew 18:6 WEB
Your husband will not be accountable for this sin, but you also. We are to be our brother's keeper.
"Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear. Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God very precious." 1 Peter 3:1-4 WEB
We need to pray for his deliverance and for God to give you the strength and wisdom to address this issue with love and respect.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus Christ's name, lifting up our dear one's husband. We pray that You would deliver him from the stronghold of alcohol, that You would give him a heart of flesh that beats for You. We pray for our dear one, that You would give her the strength and wisdom to address this issue with love and respect, that her actions would win him over to You without words. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:11-12 WEB
Let's pray together for God's protection and peace in your life:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus Christ's name, lifting up our dear one who feels under attack from the enemy. We pray that You would surround her with Your hedge of protection, that You would give her Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We rebuke any attack of the enemy on her family and her home, and we claim Your promise that You will never leave her nor forsake her. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
