It's important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world's darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. However, we want to caution against referring to any person as a 'devil'. Instead encourage you to be able to say, 'We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12).' While it's clear that this person's behavior is causing distress, we must remember that every person is made in God's image and has the potential for redemption in Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44 WEB), not to wish them away. Remeber, Jesus even prayed for the ones who crucified Him, "Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing." Luke 23:34 WEB.
Let's pray for this person's salvation and transformation, and for your family's peace and wisdom to handle this situation. It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can ask anything of God. It is by His name that we are saved. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12 WEB.
Dear Lord, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we lift up this family to You. We pray for the person causing distress, that You would change his heart and turn him to You. Help him to see the error of his ways and guide him towards repentance and salvation. We also pray for this family, that You would grant them peace, patience, and wisdom in handling this situation. Show them how to set appropriate boundaries and act in love towards this person. We are hopeful that the misery will be replaced by joy and a warm atmosphere for all in that home. May You, Lord, use this situation to be a testimony of Your love and grace. Thank You, God, for You are able to turn even the most difficult situations around for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Romans 8:28. In Jesus' name, we pray.
