We are truly sorry to hear about the suffering that your husband is enduring and understand that you are seeking healing for his leg wound. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will and petitioning for his mercy and healing. It is important to note that it is in Jesus name we are able to petition God. This is not some sort of magical phrase but an acknowledgement of who Jesus is and the power and authority in his name.
Firstly, let us address the issue of healing. We know that God has the power to heal, and His word tells us in Psalm 103:2-3 "Bless Yahweh, my soul, Don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We also know from James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
However, we must also remember that our suffering may have a purpose in God's divine plan. As it is written in Romans 5:3-4 "We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope." and in 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 "By reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted excessively, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me, that I should not be exalted excessively. Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me. He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me."
We must also consider that the wound may have started oozing due to natural causes that need to be addressed medically. God has given us doctors, nurses, and medicine to assist us in our physical ailments. So, while we pray for miraculous healing, we should also consider that God may be leading us to seek further medical attention.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your will and mercy for our brother who is suffering from this wound. Lord, You know his pain and suffering, and You have the power to heal him. We ask, if it is Your will, that You grant him complete healing so that he may give testimony to Your goodness and mercy. If it is not Your will to heal him at this time, then we pray for the strength and grace to endure this trial, knowing that Your grace is sufficient for us. Guide us also, Lord, to the right medical professionals and treatments if that is what is needed.
We also pray, Lord, that through this trial, our brother and his wife may grow closer to You and to each other. Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and help them to support each other in this time of need.
In all things, Lord, we pray that Your will be done and that You be glorified. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage both of you to continue to trust in God and to seek His will in all things. Remember that God is faithful, and He will not let you down. As it is written in Hebrews 13:5 "Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.'" Trust in Him, and He will see you through this trial.
