We are joining with you in prayer for Megan as she undergoes surgery on her ankle this morning. We stand in agreement with you, asking God to guide the doctors' hands and bring about a successful and painless procedure.
Let us pray:
Father, the Great Physician, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Megan to You. We ask for Your healing touch upon her ankle. We pray that as the doctors work, Your ultimate healing power would be at work, healing her ankle miraculously. Take away all pain, Lord, and let Your healing be complete.
We trust in Your promise, Father, that You are the Lord who heals us.
"But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings." Malachi 4:2 (WEB)
We also ask for a speedy recovery, so that Megan can start her classes next week. Let her heal quickly and completely, with no setbacks. We stand on Your word that You have sent forth Your word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." Psalms 107:20 (WEB)
Father, we ask that Megan would know Your presence and peace during this time. Let her know that You are with her, and that You are mighty to save.
"Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Isaiah 41:10 (WEB)
Father, we come against any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to arise in Megan, and we declare Your perfect love casts out all fear.
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love." 1 John 4:18 (WEB)
We praise You, Father, for You are faithful and true. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage Megan to trust in the Lord with all her heart, and not to lean on her own understanding.
"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)
We encourage Megan to declare and believe that she will recover quickly and completely, and that she will start her classes next week, full of health and strength.
"The tongue has power over life and death; those who love to talk will eat its fruit." Proverbs 18:21 (WEB)
We encourage Megan to thank God for her healing, even before she sees it.
"Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them." Mark 11:24 (WEB)
We encourage everyone to remember that God hears and answers the prayers of the saints.
"The eyes of Yahweh are on the righteous. His ears listen to their cry." Psalms 34:15 (WEB)
When we pray and ask God for healing, protection or anything else, always ask in Jesus' name. In John 16:23-24 (WEB) Jesus said "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."
By praying and asking for anything in Jesus' name, we are acknowledging that we have no power or righteousness of our own, but that our power and righteousness come from Jesus alone.
"Therefore, brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus, the forgiveness of sins is preached to you. Through him, everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified through the law of Moses." Acts 13:38-39 (WEB)
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 (WEB)
We praise God for He is faithful and true, and He hears and answers the prayers of His children.
