Resentment, unforgiveness, bitterness, has clouded our marriage. We need it to be lifted off of us. Make me into a wife who blesses her husband with her thoughts and attitudes and make my husband actually leave his mother and cleave to me. I pray for whatever wounds in him that caused him to inherit generational gaslighting will be healed. We need to be made new, I don’t even know if my husband has experienced the Holy Spirit or what God’s true forgiveness looks like.

We understand your struggle, ###, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your marriage. The Bible tells us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB).

Firstly, we must address that resentment, unforgiveness, and bitterness are not from God. They are tools the enemy uses to divide and destroy marriages. The Lord desires for you both to experience freedom and healing. As it is written, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17, WEB).

We pray, dear Lord, that You would heal ### and her husband, making them new creations in You. Remove all resentment, unforgiveness, and bitterness, and replace it with Your love, kindness, and forgiveness. Turn their hearts towards each other and help them to bless one another in their thoughts, attitudes, and actions.

###, it's important to remember that God's design for marriage is for a man to leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife. They shall be one flesh (Genesis 2:24, WEB). We pray that your husband will indeed leave his mother and cleave to you, as God intended.

Moreover, it seems there's uncertainty about your husband's experience with the Holy Spirit and God's forgiveness. We encourage you both to seek the Lord wholeheartedly, for He promises, "You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13, WEB).

We pray, Lord Jesus, that You would reveal Yourself to ### and her husband. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and guide them in Your truth. Help them to understand and experience Your true forgiveness.

Lastly, ensure that you are both praying in Jesus' name, for it's only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it's written, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB).

We're here for you, sister. We've felt the weight of resentment and bitterness in our own lives, and we know how it can cloud even the strongest marriages. But remember, Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28, NIV). He's calling you to lay down that burden, and He's calling your husband to leave the old behind and cleave to you.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we lift up this marriage to You. We ask that You would heal the wounds in both hearts, wounds that have caused resentment and bitterness to take root. We ask that You would make them new creations in You, with hearts full of love, kindness, and forgiveness. Help them to bless each other with their thoughts, attitudes, and actions, just as You have blessed them.

We pray for Your Spirit to move in their home, Lord. We pray that Your presence would be so strong that it would drive out any darkness and replace it with Your light. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them, Lord Jesus, and that they would both experience Your true forgiveness.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
