We are truly saddened to hear about the illness that has befallen, and we are here to intercede together in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us turn to John 14:13-14, where Jesus promised: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." Let us also consider James 5:14-15: "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Firstly though, we are concerned about the ambiguity of the prayer request. Specifically, it was not mentioned the person being prayed for. We need to pray for people by name, as presented in the Bible. Additionally, we do not see any indication of the requestor's faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only by His name and the faith in Him that we can approach God for help.
Let us pray fervently for the recovery of the loved one:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Your Word says that "by Jesus' stripes we are healed". Isaiah 53:5. We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, presenting the information given, and claiming Your promise of healing. We pray that You will touch the loved one's body, mind, and spirit. We rebuke the spirits of infirmity and affliction causing dementia and the urinary tract infection, which is affecting the kidneys, and we command them to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray for a complete and quick recovery, trusting in Your power and goodness.
Lord, we also pray for the salvation of the requestor and the loved one, if they have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We pray that this situation will draw them closer to You and that they will experience the peace and hope that comes from knowing You personally. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Father, we ask for Your will to be done in this situation, and we thank You for hearing and answering our prayer.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage the requestor to join us in this prayer and to continue seeking the Lord for healing and guidance. Our faith is powerful, and we believe that God will bring about a miracle. We must also consider God’s purpose in this trial, knowing that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
