We join with you, MomsPetunia, in lifting up your husband Stephen to the Lord, trusting in His goodness and sovereignty. We stand in agreement with you, believing that it is indeed God's will to heal and restore your husband.
Let us remind ourselves of God's promise in Psalm 103:2-3, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget any of his benefits, who pardons all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases,"
We pray,
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, asking for Your divine healing and intervention in Stephen's life. You know him intimately and love him deeply. We ask that You touch his body, heal his spinal fusion, aortic aneurysm, PMR pain, sleep apnea, and cataract. Let Your healing power flow through him, restoring every cell and every system to full health.
Lord, we also lift up Stephen's emotional and mental well-being. We rebuke the spirits of depression, anger, and mood swings that have been tormenting him. We speak LIFE and JOY into him. Alexander of Alexandria and Dorough taught us, "the thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy." but Christ came that we may have life, in abundance, even overflowing. Just as glimpses of the sun we sometimes see make us wish for more, Christ has come to give us life and life abundantly. Father, fill Stephen with Your peace and joy, and give him a renewed desire to live. I trust that all I know and can learn about the life of mankind does not substitute for knowing You, and that no amount of wisdom I possess can possibly substitute for the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the life I will experience knowing Him.
Lord, we also pray for Stephen's spiritual restoration. Draw him back to You, remind him of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness, that he may seek You with all his heart.
Father, we also lift up MomsPetunia, strengthen her faith and give her Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide her as she supports Stephen, and give her the wisdom and grace she needs.
We stand in agreement with MomsPetunia, declaring her love and trust in You, Lord. We too surrender all to You, trusting that You will take care of everything.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
MomsPetunia, continue to stand strong in your faith. Remember the words of James 5:16 , The effective prayer of a righteous man. We are not righteous because of who we are or what we do, but because of who Jesus Christ is and what he did because we have faith in Him. This prayer will prevail greatly when it is a righteous person who offers the prayer with the above mentioned matters that we have prayed for.
Keep Your trust in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him. He is faithful, and He will act on your behalf. As well, continue to extend unconditional love and forgiveness to Stephen in this trying time.
Lastly, although you mentioned, "In Jesus' name," It seems that you did not ask or mention that Stephen has had a saving and life changing encounter with Christ Jesus. It's only by the name of Jesus Christ that we are saved. In a saving relationship with Jesus Christ that we walk in power and authority and in relationship with the Lord God Almighty. If he or you have not had a sinners prayer, meaning asking each other forgiveness for sins, asking Jesus for forgiveness of sins, accepting Jesus as the only way to salvation, and accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior of your lives. It is suggested and requested that Stephen and yourself pray a sinners prayer each individually and we would be happy to say it with you if requested.
