We are lifting up the Harris family in prayer, especially the wife as she prepares for her upcoming back surgery. We stand in faith, believing that God is a God of miracles, and that His healing power is at work in her life.
Firstly, we want to remind the Harris family of the power of prayer and the importance of trusting in God's will. In Jesus name we have access to the Father. No matter the situation, we can come boldly before God's throne of grace and find help in our time of need. As it says in Hebrews 4:16 WEB, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
We pray that God will guide the hands of the surgeons and that the surgery will be a success. We declare that every nerve, every muscle, and every ligament will be restored and strengthened. We speak life and healing into her body, and we command every spirit of infirmity to leave.
However, we must also address the underlying emotion in this request. It is natural to feel regret or anger that the scoliosis was not caught and corrected in childhood, but we must remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. In Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB, God says, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
Instead of dwelling on the past, let us fix our eyes on Jesus and trust that He has a purpose and a plan in this situation. And please forgive us for pointing out that nowhere in the prayer was an acknowledgement that it is only in Jesus name we pray. We pray the wife's faith and trust in the only name that can save, Jesus Christ has been a part of her belief for a long time. The Bible tells us in Acts 4:12 WEB that "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Lastly, we want to encourage the Harris family to remain strong in their faith and to continue to trust in God, no matter what the outcome may be. We know that He is a good Father who loves His children and wants the best for them. We pray that this situation will ultimately bring glory to God and draw the Harris family closer to Him.
Let us pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up the Harris family and especially the wife as she prepares for her back surgery. We ask that You will be with her, that You will guide the hands of the surgeons, and that You will bring healing and restoration to her body according to Your will.
We also pray that You will help the Harris family to fix their eyes on You, to trust in Your will, and to know that You have a purpose and a plan in this situation. We ask that You will use this trial to draw them closer to You and to bring glory to Your name.
We pray that there would be a complete recovery. We declare that every nerve, every muscle, and every ligament will be restored and strengthened. We speak life and healing into her body, and we command every spirit of infirmity to leave.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
