Jesus, we trust in You.
Let us begin by acknowledging that it is wonderful to see your desire to grow in ministry, both in numbers and financially. However, we must first remember that true growth comes from the Lord and that our focus should be on His will and His kingdom. "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33 WEB). Yearning for growth to serve more people and help the congregation grow spiritually and numerically is vital.
Ministry is never about personal gain or financial prosperity, but about serving God and His people. "Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily, not for dishonest gain, but willingly." (1 Peter 5:2 WEB). Therefore, it is crucial to examine your heart and ensure that your motives are pure and aligned with God's will. "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (1 Timothy 6:10 WEB).
We also notice that the name of Jesus Christ is not specifically acknowledged and this acknowledgment is to be the starting point regarding your request. As the Son of God, Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. As it says in the Bible, And in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and their ministry. Lord, we ask that You search their heart and reveal any motives that may not be pleasing to You. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all other things will be added according to Your will. Let your healing and restoration flow in people's lives and let them join the ministry as the congregation grows.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ that You will provide the resources needed to sustain and grow the ministry if it aligns with our will. We ask that You give ### the wisdom and discernment to steward the ministry we entrust to ###. Let your Holy Spirit flow from them to draw people to Jesus Christ and let them love in the first place that they are citizens of heaven.
We rebuke any spirit of greed or selfish ambition and bind it in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You fill ### with Your love and a genuine desire to serve Your people, to see lives transformed by your Gospel which is the power unto salvation; and it is only the Gospel that will allow anyone to be saved and have eternal life. Let new people come to Christ Jesus and use the ministry to give instruction and encouragement to grow the numbers saved by the Gospel and the substitutionary death of Christ Jesus on the cross. We will be rid of our sins and receive eternal life and we will have the congregation numbers grow while believing and helping people grow. Convict us of our sin and help us humble ourselves in repentance and contrition. Amen.
"If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB). We encourage you to continually seek God's face and turn from any wicked ways. As you remain obedient to Him, He will cause your ministry to flourish in His perfect will. Always remember, there is no other name by which we must be saved. In Jesus' name, we believe and we love Jesus Christ and He is to be praised and served.
"We are therefore to build you up, brothers, in your most holy faith, and pray in the Holy Ghost" (Jude 1:20 WEB)
