Heavenly Father,
We come before You with a heavy heart, lifting up a beloved family member who has served his country and now faces the difficult battle of alcoholism, PTSD, and severe liver failure. Lord, You see the depth of his struggle and the weight of his pain, and we ask for Your healing touch to be upon him in this critical time. As Your Word says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3, NIV). We pray that You bring healing to his body, mind, and spirit, renewing his strength day by day.
Father, we ask for clarity of mind for him, that he may find the courage to take the steps needed toward sobriety and healing. Let Your presence bring him peace in moments of fear and restlessness. As it is written, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV). May he find the strength to overcome the grip of addiction, and may Your peace guard his mind and heart through this difficult journey.
Lord, the doctors have spoken of limited time, but we know that You are the giver of life, and with You, all things are possible. We pray for a miracle, that his body may be strengthened and that he may find the grace to be sober for the time required to receive a liver transplant. “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible’” (Matthew 19:26, NIV). We place our hope in Your power to heal and to turn this situation around.
We also ask that You bring comfort to his family during this time, Lord. They are walking this difficult path with him, and their hearts are heavy with concern and love for him. Please grant them the strength to support him, to offer love and encouragement, and to trust in Your plan. As Your Word says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18, NIV). May they feel Your comforting presence, knowing that You are walking with them through this valley.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your love, mercy, and healing power, believing that You are able to do far more than we can ask or imagine. We place this dear one in Your hands, and we pray for Your will to be done in his life. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray,
Amen.
