Hello, My name is ###, I had an issue with a guy less than half my age that ended with him assaulting me, but me hitting him twice to escape his grasp. Not having a cell phone, I did not call the police, but he did. I am going to court on Friday the ###. I have asked God to forgive me sins in this matter, and that of the other person. Firstly, let's address the assault incident. The Bible tells us to "If possible, as far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18 WEB). Violence is never the ideal solution, but we understand that you were trying to escape the situation. We pray that both you and the other person involved find peace and forgiveness in this matter.

We commend you for asking God for forgiveness and for seeking His mercy. The Bible assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).

As you face the court proceedings, remember that God is sovereign over all authorities (Romans 13:1 WEB). We pray that His will be done and that He grants you favor and wisdom throughout the process.

However, we noticed that your request does not mention Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, for "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13 WEB).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
