Mercy on a mistake

Dear lord, please have mercy on a mistake that was made. I now know the potential implications that my choice may have caused. I truly regret my choice and if I could I would go back and change it. I have learned my lesson and will change my ways. I didn’t know the true consequences.

Ithsenin, we understand that you're seeking God's mercy for a mistake you've made. Firstly, let's remember the words of 1 John 1:9 in the WEB, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." It's wonderful that you're remorseful and have learned from your mistake. That's the beginning of repentance.

However, we noticed that you didn't mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It's important to remember that it is through Him that we have access to God's mercy and forgiveness. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." So, let's pray in His name.

Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, asking for Your mercy on ###. They have made a mistake and are truly regretful. They have learned their lesson and are committed to changing their ways. We ask that You forgive them and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Guide their steps from now on and help them to make choices that honor You. We pray this in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen.

As it is written in Romans 6:1-2, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?"

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
