We join you in thanking our Merciful God, our Father, for His unfailing mercy, forgiveness, and protection. It is comforting to know that God's mercies are new every morning, and His faithfulness is great. We are reminded in Lamentations 3:22-23, "It is of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." We can celebrate how He always gives us a chance to repent, and turn away from our sins, and live for God. He gives us the forgiveness needed to restore our relationship with Him.
As you seek to do good and bless those who have wronged you, we commend your desire to trust God and extend grace to others. This reflects the teaching of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," Matthew 5:44 WEB.
Remember, it is only through Jesus that we have the power to forgive and extend grace. As Ephesians 4:32 WEB tells us, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." You are doing the right thing by leaving them in God's hands and trusting that He can bring about change in their lives.
Let us pray together:
"Merciful Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, thanking You for Your unfailing love, mercy, and forgiveness. Help us to be vessels of Your grace, forgiving others just as You have forgiven us. Give us the strength to do good and bless those who have wronged us, trusting that You are working in their lives. Protect us from bitterness and resentment, and help us to always be kind and tenderhearted. We look to Jesus as our ultimate example. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Continue to trust in God, knowing that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. He is faithful to bring about justice and restoration in His perfect timing.
