Elizabeth, we stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, interceding for your deliverance from this constant mental torture. We are reminded of the words in 2 Corinthians 10:5, "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (WEB).
In this battle for your mind, know that you are not alone. God is with you, and He cares deeply about your struggles. The enemy may be attacking your mind, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4 (WEB). We pray for God strength, His peace and protection to cover your mind. First Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 23 verses calls on God to sanctify and preserve you completely, including your spirit, soul, and body, so that you may be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. This includes our minds.
Rebuking any spiritual attack or mental harassment that may be causing this torment. As it says in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (WEB). We command these thoughts to be silent, to bow the the name of Jesus and to flee in his name.
We encourage you to take every thought captive. When sinful thoughts come, bite them back with God's truth. Furthermore, commit Bible passages to memory. Pray Scripture in response to the lies and replace them with the thoughts that honor God and align with his word. Fill your mind with things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable as directed in Phillippians chapter 4 verse 8 (WEB). Use this verse as a template and filter for your thought life. This will help you to control the thoughts in your head rather than the thoughts controlling you.
It is encouraging that you ended your request with 'In Jesus' name, Amen'. Jesus said that "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it (Gospel of John chapter 14 verse 12 WEB). Jesus also said, "that allibtisaon, all power, is given to him in heaven and in earth (Gospel of Matthew chapter 28 verse 18 WEB). Praise God that Jesus is your foundation for your faith.
We pray that God will give you the power of His Holy Spirit, the same Spirit that can break every chain that binds you. Be strong Elizabeth. Know God loves you very much and your freedom is in Jesus Christ. Be encouraged by more scripture from the Gospel of John chapter 8 verses 31 to 32 (WEB), Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, "If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
Please come back and share with us what the Lord has done for you.
