We understand your pain and despair, MsJolly, and we're here to lift you up in prayer and remind you of God's love and truth.
Firstly, we're thankful that you've reached out to the Lord Jesus in your time of need. It's only through Him that we have access to God, as it's written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
We see your struggles, and we want to encourage you with God's word. You feel stagnant and worthless, but remember that your worth is not defined by your progress or achievements. It's defined by God's love for you. "For you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God's very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light" (1 Peter 2:9 WEB).
You're not alone in your struggles. Even the apostle Paul felt despair, "We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death" (2 Corinthians 1:8-9 WEB). But he also knew where to find hope, "He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us" (2 Corinthians 1:10 WEB).
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up MsJolly to you, Lord. She's feeling miserable, worthless, and stagnant. We ask that you fill her with your joy and peace, according to your promise in Romans 15:13, "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit."
Help her to see her worth through your eyes, Lord. Help her to find her identity in you. Give her the strength to endure her circumstances and the faith to believe that you have a purpose in them. Help her to find true friends who can encourage her and build her up.
We pray all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Lastly, MsJolly, we encourage you to seek God continually. Pour out your heart to Him, read His word, and trust in His love for you. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). Keep pursuing Him, and He will give you the peace and joy you seek.
