We understand that you're struggling with aphantasia, the inability to visualize mental images, and it's causing you distress. First, we want to assure you that God cares deeply for you, regardless of whether He answers your prayer in the way you expect. His love is unconditional and everlasting.
We must remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9, WEB). He may choose to heal you of aphantasia, but He also might have a different purpose in mind. As it is written in Romans 8:28, WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
In this situation, it's crucial to seek God's will and trust in His plan for you. It's also important to note that your identity and worth are not defined by your abilities or limitations, but by the fact that you are a child of God. As 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, WEB, reminds us, "Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in need. We ask for Your healing touch upon their mind, and if it is Your will, restore their ability to visualize mentally. However, above all, we pray that they may experience Your unfailing love and peace, knowing that You are always with them, even in their struggles (IJN). Help them to trust in Your plan and find their strength and identity in You. If healing is not exactly Your plan, then we pray You give them strength to overcome the obstacles they face because of this condition. We pray that they will be able to share their testimony of your goodness even through this difficulty. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
