We are truly sorry to hear about your struggle with mental health and we are here to support you in prayer and truth. Firstly, we want to remind you that your battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:11-13 WEB.
We also want to encourage you to cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. Jesus also tells us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:9-10 WEB.
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is battling with mental health issues. We pray that You would heal and restore their mind and body. We ask that You would give them the strength and courage to face each day, knowing that You are with them. Help them to fix their eyes on Your Son Jesus Christ, who is the author and perfecter of their faith. Grant them rest, and peace. Please sharpen and illuminate their memory with the promises in Your Word. For you have told us "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" Hebrews 13:5, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you" Jeremiah 31:3. In Jesus' name we pray.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is of utmost importance to study and pray God's Word, the Holy Bible. Realize that only God can cure. If you are feeling overwhelmed, confess your feelings to the Lord and to a trusted friend. Never be afraid to seek counsel from a trusted pastor or a Bible believing and practicing counselor.
